Felix was born and raised in Silicon Valley. He is a proud son of immigrant parents from Mexico and Peru and currently resides in San Francisco. His mission is to highlight what society prefers to keep in the dark, which often involves communities and issues that are misunderstood and overlooked. With a deep passion for shifting the way we perceive one another, Felix's work reflects his authentic love for people, the beauty he sees in others, and his unique ability to capture life’s in-between moments.
As a talented visual storyteller, Felix has had opportunities to collaborate with established local and global brands such as Leica, Lululemon, Meta, Turo, Madison Reed, Burma Superstar, True Ventures, the Tony Hawk Foundation, and the prestigious New York Times. His creative eye and dedication to his craft have not gone unnoticed, as his images were selected for "Photo of the Year 2022" by the San Francisco Chronicle and "Photo of the Year 2023" by The Guardian for assignments shot for them. Additionally, he became an inaugural Catchlight local fellow, where he focused on sharing stories from the Tenderloin during COVID-19. His exceptional work from this project was recognized and displayed in San Francisco City Hall, a testament to the impact of his visual storytelling on the broader community.
Through his exceptional street photography, Felix portrays people as they are, transcending the limitations of text or video. He peels back the layers to reveal the richness of each individual's story, fostering genuine connections and empathy with viewers on a profound emotional level. Embracing his cultural heritage, Felix celebrates diversity and embraces the raw emotions that shape communities. Using his camera as his paintbrush, he weaves tales of resilience, love, and community to ultimately challenge stereotypes and misconceptions.
As Felix continues his visual journey, he aims to break down barriers, inspire others to appreciate the authenticity in every face and every tale and celebrate the intricate beauty of life.
